Los Alamos Project: Volume 1
A Zine with Print

Minesh Bacrania and I have worked together in my consulting practice for a few years now and I have offered advice on editing, workshops, his website changes, and now this beautiful zine that will be the first in a few on his home of Los Alamos, NM. The zine is a project that invloved photographer Minesh Bacrania, designer Gregg Weiss, Director of the Los Alamos Historical Society Liz Martineau, and myself.

Each copy is signed by the photographer and comes with a choice of one of four archival color prints. 6”x9” signed softcover, 36 pages, limited edition of 100.

“Dormitory” is a self-funded and self-published ‘portrait’ of one of the few remaining buildings from the Manhattan Project in Los Alamos. Built in 1942 as a dormitory for the Women’s Auxiliary Corps, the building was used (and preserved/stewarded) by the Los Alamos chapter of the Christian Science Church. Los Alamos County acquired the building from the Church in 2019 with the long-term goal of incorporating it into the Los Alamos unit of the Manhattan Project National Historical Park.
